What excites you about joining the BARK team?
Getting to work on technology and a product that makes people (and their dogs) smile!
What stood out to you about BARK that you have not seen at other companies?
BARK’s focus on the happiness of our customers (human and canine) and creating a delightful experience creates an atmosphere of joy that is rare in a lot of workplaces. Delivering an excellent customer experience is important, but it’s also key sometimes not to take ourselves too seriously, and I think that all of our canine co-workers help to ground us to the important things outside of the office and away from the spreadsheets.
How does your role impact BARK’s mission of “make all dogs happy”?
I’m working on the iOS application, working to build better tools for our customers to spend less time looking at a screen and more time throwing tennis balls. Hopefully, our improvements to the mobile app will help more dogs find their next favorite toy, or make it easy to share with a friend at a dog park where they picked up some treats that they love!
How has the BARK pack made you feel welcomed in your first week?
The onslaught of introductions to four-legged co-workers has made every day so far a delight (my human team members have been super welcoming and helpful with getting my legs underneath me, too!)
