Tell us about your dog!
Bailey is the goodest of good girls! She’s my 9-year-old Siberian Husky, best friend, and professional napper. Her favorite activities are bringing me treat toys to be filled with treats at the most inopportune moments, pulling every toy out of her giant toy box and spreading them around the house, and sticking her entire face in the sand looking for “sand snacks” when we go for sunrise beach walks.
Tell us what excites you about joining the BARK team:
My life and career certainly revolve around dogs, so working for a company just as obsessed with pets as I am is like a dream. Bark has been #1 on my list of top companies for quite a few years and the timing was finally right so I jumped at the chance to be here!
What stood out to you about BARK that you have not seen at other companies?
I love how BARK really gets that dogs and pets are actually part of the family. It’s a company that goes beyond the essentials — they really see dogs as having their own (occasionally weird) personalities and are always on point with having the toys and products that both humans and pets get a kick out of.
How does your role impact BARK’s mission of “make all dogs happy”?
My role as a writer helps bring toys and products to life online. Sometimes people just need to know that a toy isn’t just cool, but it’s “pretty fluffin’ fantastic!”
How has the BARK pack made you feel welcomed in your first week?
I’ve barely even started, but I’m overwhelmed by how welcome I feel here. I’ve received so many welcome emails, info packets to know what to expect, and just feel included in every single way.
