Katherine joined the BARK team in October as the Executive Assistant to CEO, Manish Joneja! Katherine has one perfect pup, Alby. A 14-week old Husydoodle rescue from a foster in Brooklyn!
[Alby] turned out double the size and a different breed than we were told originally. He is the goodest and sweetest boy, often referred to as a Gentleman, and many claim “his eyes look deep into your soul”.
What excites you about joining the BARK team?
To be able to work with a brand that was already a household name to my family. It’s a great feeling to truly believe in the mission of the company you work for and have it resonate so strongly with you.
What stood out to you about BARK?
The humor and the camaraderie (within the entire org).
How has the BARK pack made you feel welcomed in your first week?
Onboarding was a great experience. Workplace/People/IT has created an incredibly robust plan for remote hires and the internal tools that are used in the company are very intuitive and efficient. The entire BARK Leadership team (BLT!) took time out of their hectic schedules on the run-up to peak season to have a 1:1 with me which really sets the tone for management in the company. Obviously, everyone shares a gigantic passion for dogs, but it creates this unique situation where you immediately have common ground with someone and it gives you the ability to make really good connections throughout the organization pretty quickly. Even within my first few weeks, it’s apparent that people at BARK will always offer to roll up their sleeves to help where it’s needed, regardless of if it fits within their definitive scope or not.
